twinkle + love letters

another pure ice nail polish for ya! with a twist!

pure ice “twinkle” is a peach-y orange color with gold shimmer. it’s not like one of my long-time lemmings nars “orgasm” at all, but i’ll settle for this alternative for now. when i first put it on, i was shocked because the color was looking like pumpkin orange, and i did not want that at all. i wanted it too look more pinkish like in the bottle, almost like the color of salmon.

so, i layered 2 thin coats of china glaze “love letters” over it. success! finally, “love letters” was totally clutch!! LOL. i bought the color ages ago, and hated how sheer it was, so buried deep underneath the nail polish stash it stayed. . . until now!

i can say that i’m not too crazy about the application of “twinkle.” it was kind of streaky so i tried using thicker coats (3 coats to be exact) and wound up getting those awful bubbles that neither “love letters” or my quick-drying topcoat could fix.
